            Award - "Supporter of the Georgian Language"

 


In 2022, the president of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, awarded the title of "Supporter of the Georgian Language" to Bernard Outtier, a foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and an academician of the Gelati Academy.
 
The annual nomination "Supporter of the Georgian Language" was established by Caucasus University for the implementation of outstanding ideas and special contributions for well-known Georgian scholars or persons promoting the popularisation of the Georgian language.

A specially created commission makes the decision on awarding - a researcher working in the field of Kartveloological studies, an outstanding idea, an author or a Kartveloologist who implements important projects. The annual award - "Supporter of the Georgian Language" - is given to both Georgian and foreign scientists. Part of the mission of  Caucasus University is the implementation of a targeted policy for the proper functioning of the state language and the support of Kartveloological studies.

The annual award was established at the initiative of Professor Mariam Manjgaladze of Caucasus University with the support of Caucasus University.
