School of Media

Caucasus School of Media was founded in 2007. The School offers Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in Media and Communication. The programs created in accordance with the western experience fully meet internationally recognized standards.

CSM programs designed to meet modern market demands are distinguished in Georgia because our primary concern is students’ future employment and their successful professional career; therefore we are constantly in contact with potential employers operating on Media and Communications market.

CSM students start their professional career while they are still at University; they participate in internship programs of various kinds. The process is facilitated by the school administration as well as by instructors and professors having western education and appropriate qualification, who in many cases become our students’ future employers and referees. High employment rate of our graduates is an indicator of the school’s success as almost all our graduates are employed.

Advancement of Information Technologies requires professionals of communication to have universal skills. In order not to limit employment opportunities of our graduates, we avoid narrowing the scope of specialization of our Bachelor’s programs; for example, Bachelor’s degree students of Journalism and Mass Communication learn basics of new media, print and photo journalism as well as basics of advertising and public relations. The students get to know peculiarities of each field of Mass Communication and opt for the one most suitable for their interests and abilities. In the Program of Public Relations students acquire a deep knowledge in Psychology and Social Sciences, which gives them a solid foundation for starting a successful career in any field of Mass Communication.

Master’s Programs at Caucasus School of Media allow students to acquire a deeper knowledge in a particular field. They are designed to satisfy market demands and needs of the professionals already working in Media. Students of Master’s Programs have an opportunity to decide on the courses of their special interest and to schedule the process of their education in the way they find most appropriate and suitable for them. The programs are designed to allow students to refine their professional skills, which, in turn, guarantee them a future successful career and professional efficiency.

Along with Journalism, we offer Master’s Program in Strategic Communication, which is a kind of novelty on Georgian educational market. This specialization allows students employed in public relations and advertising to deepen their knowledge. Students learn company planning and management, event planning and management, research planning, interpreting research findings and their utilization and acquire effective strategies of Communication. Students will also learn marketing, branding, advertising and efficient use of infinite resources of media channels.
