On September 22, 2026, within the framework of the PROVE project „Promoting Values Education in Higher Education Institutions of the South Caucasus“, implemented under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program, a Community Action on the theme „Financial Education for Peace“ was held at Dighomi Branch of Green School.

During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of raising young people’s awareness of financial education, critically and thoughtfully evaluating financial information, managing financial resources responsibly, and making sound financial decisions. Particular attention was paid to how the development of financial education can contribute to social well-being and peacebuilding.

During the session, the students gained theoretical knowledge about financial education and discussed the connection between financial literacy and peacebuilding. They also reflected on a dilemma developed using the VaKE method.

Working in small groups, the students created comics on the theme „Financial Education for Peace“, creatively exploring the relationship between financial responsibility and peacebuilding.

The activity was facilitated by Ana Sajaia and Megi Mgeladze, students of the School of Education at Caucasus University participating in the project, together with mentors Maia Zibzibadze and Ketevan Vasadze.

The event was organized within the framework of the PROVE project, which focuses on peace education and is based on the VaKE (Values and Knowledge Education) approach. This is an innovative, student-oriented methodology that integrate values-based and research-oriented teaching.

The Project is implemented in cooperation with educational organizations/universities from Austria, Greece, Georgia and Armenia.
