On September 3, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University hosted the final event of the Samtskhe-Javakheti pre-acceleration program, a demo day, organized by Caucasus University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center with the initiative and support of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).
The primary goal of the pre-accelerator was to assist startups and entrepreneurs in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region with developing their business ideas from scratch to product launch and facilitating the submission of a 25,000 GEL regional grant project to GITA.
Over 7 weeks, participants underwent intensive theoretical and practical training sessions led by prominent figures from the startup ecosystem.
The pre-acceleration program trainers included:
- Irakli Svanidze, Manager of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and a guest lecturer at Caucasus University;
- Sandro Kandelaki, Co-founder of Student Hunt;
- Nikoloz Gogochuri, Co-founder and CEO of VRex;
- Giorgi Razmadze, Co-founder and CEO of Awork.
During the demo day, participants presented their startup ideas to a jury and the attendees. At the end of the event, the jury members—Ana Maisuradze, Project Manager at Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency; Gabriel Meliva, Co-founder of Printomato and startup mentor; and Aleksandre Tsintsadze, Founder of Kovzy. com—selected the winning startup, Legal Harmony, which Caucasus University awarded a cash prize of 2000 GEL.
The following startups were presented on the demo day:
- STUDYBUDDY - An online platform that assists students with assignments and papers through the use of AI;
- Rabati (Natenadze Wine Restaurant) - A platform that enables wine companies and the Horeca sector to showcase their services and products in 3D;
- RAYWAN - A cloud gaming platform that allows gamers to play high-quality games on any device, eliminating the need for expensive hardware, downloads, or updates;
- სამაპი - An innovative tool designed for the precise dosing of medicine to be administered through a beehive;
- Viva Smile - A digital smile design tool that allows doctors to simulate a smile before treatment, ensuring it meets the patient's functional, aesthetic, and emotional preferences;
- ARTED – Online platform designed to be a convenient wedding planner, helping you organize your celebration quickly, comfortably, and professionally;
- ADVENTUROUS - A tourist platform that connects tour operators and travelers in one space;
- BE BIO - Assists organic farmers in implementing innovative organic management systems and simplifies the certification process;
- SHOW & GO - An app that helps tourists plan their trips, discover top attractions, and find all necessary services on a single platform;
- Legal Harmony - An innovative platform for creating and managing legal documents, offering users the ability to easily search for templates and generate documents automatically.
