On June 29 -July 1, Caucasus University President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, and Vice President for Internationalization and NIBES Board Member, Irena Melua, attended the 30th Annual Meeting of the Network of International Business and Economic Schools - NIBES.

This year’s meeting was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of NIBES and brought together representatives of member institutions from different countries. As part of the anniversary program, NIBES member universities signed the 30th Anniversary Commitment Document, reaffirming their support for the network’s common interests, shared values, and future development. Dr. Kakha Shengelia signed the document on behalf of Caucasus University.

The meeting was hosted by the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. The program included official meetings, partner updates, discussions on future cooperation, and anniversary-related activities. Participants attended ceremonial speeches dedicated to the history and ethos of NIBES, the NIBES 30th Anniversary Awards Ceremony, and other official sessions marking this important milestone for the network.

During the meeting, NIBES members also discussed the application of a new member institution from Spain- CUNEFF  and unanimously approved its membership in the network.

Throughout the event, participants discussed current and future opportunities for cooperation among NIBES partner universities, including academic collaboration, internationalization, research topics, administrative cooperation, and future network activities. The program also included the NIBES World Café and Discussion, updates from NIBES partners, and discussions regarding the host of the Annual Meeting in 2028.

Caucasus University’s participation in the NIBES Annual Meeting once again highlights the University’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships, expanding global academic cooperation, and actively engaging in international university networks.
