CSG Student Participates in the European Youth Debate

22 April 2026

With the support of Caucasus University, Lizzy Kezherashvili, a student of the Caucasus School of Governance, travelled to Milan, Italy, to participate in the 11th European Youth Debate 2026.

Held over the course of three days, the debate sessions focused primarily on issues of digital security and privacy within the European Union.

More than 70 selected students from across Europe took part in the event, working in a roundtable format to discuss key challenges related to EU digital security and privacy.

Lizzy Kezherashvili was a member of the EU Digital Security & Privacy Roundtable, where participants explored such topics as chat control, data retention, surveillance, and chip production. As a result of these discussions, the participants produced an analytical document highlighting, among other key points, that security can be ensured without surveillance.

The document developed during the debate has already been submitted to the European Commission for consideration.
