Political Strategy Simulation Game for Prospective Students – “Govern the State”

On April 21, Caucasus University hosted the state governance simulation game “Govern the State” for prospective students interested in public administration, diplomacy, and international relations.

 

Supported by a specialized computer simulation platform and guided by academic staff, participants were given the opportunity to explore, in practice:

 

  • what it means to govern a state and what defines effective governance;
  • how political capital and budgetary resources are allocated in the implementation of different policies;
  • the influence of voters, interest groups, ideologies, and civil society organizations on political processes;
  • the interrelationship between politics, economics, security, and international relations;
  • how decisions made in one field may produce unexpected consequences in another.

 

At the conclusion of the event, three participants were recognized for demonstrating outstanding leadership, argumentation, and public speaking skills. The winners were awarded tuition vouchers for the academic programs of Caucasus School of Governance:

 

  • First Place – Tsotne Vashakidze – 1,500 GEL
  • Second Place – Nino Alania – 1,000 GEL
  • Third Place – Luka Shainidze – 700 GEL

 

The event was led by Eka Akobia, Dean of Caucasus School of Governance and Professor of International Relations at CSG; Emir Eteria, Professor of Economics at CSG; and Giorgi Tskhadaia, Associate Professor of Political Science at CSG.
