In 2026, Nana Sharikadze, Affiliated Associate Professor at Caucasus University, was awarded a research fellowship at the Paul Sacher Foundation in Basel, Switzerland. The Foundation is an internationally renowned center for music archives and research, housing significant creative legacies of composers from different periods, including the personal and working archives of numerous prominent composers of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

As part of the fellowship, Nana Sharikadze spent two months working with materials related to the Soviet avant-garde held in the Foundation’s archives. Her research focused on composers’ manuscripts, working notes, and other archival documents, providing an opportunity to examine compositional processes directly through primary sources.
