Erasmus+ Project SECURE: Consortium Working Meeting in Spain

5 February 2026

From 26–29 January, the consortium working meeting of the Erasmus+ project “SECURE” was held in Spain at University of Valladolid. The meeting brought together project partners from across Europe, including a delegation from Caucasus University and the Caucasus Cybersecurity Center, serving as the project’s lead institution from Georgia.

The Georgian delegation comprised Professor Maksim Iavich, Corresponding Member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and Director of the Cybersecurity Center; Associate Professors Giorgi Akhalaia and Sergo Simonovi; and Project Manager Oksana Kovalchuk.

During the working sessions, consortium members finalized implementation plans for four innovative cybersecurity courses and developed operational frameworks for three research hubs-the Quantum Lab, 5G Lab, and AI/ML Lab. Special emphasis was placed on capacity building in Ukraine and Georgia.

Participants also addressed future-oriented curriculum development, focusing on post-quantum cybersecurity training and the exchange of expertise based on the experience of IMUVA and the SCAYLE Quantum Laboratory.
