24 December 2025

On December 23, as part of their academic program, students of the Tourism School paid an educational visit to the Tbilisi Wine Museum, located in a historic caravanserai in the heart of Tbilisi.

During the visit, students gained in-depth knowledge of the centuries-old history of Georgian winemaking and explored unique artifacts and ethnographic materials related to wine and viticulture. Special attention was given to the traditional qvevri wine-making method, its distinctive features, and its cultural significance within the broader context of Georgian heritage.

The program also included a guided wine tasting session led by a professional sommelier. Students learned the fundamental principles and sequence of wine tasting, became familiar with the characteristics of different wine styles, and sampled several varieties.

The visit lasted more than three hours and proved to be both informative and engaging. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the experience and the insights gained.
