On March 31, at 16:00, students from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences bachelor's program in philology, Levan Kakliani and Elene Beridze, will lead a discussion on the topic - language and dialect; Pearl of the Fereydan dialect - in the Caucasus University library.
The discussion will feature invited researchers Marine Beridze, Lia Bakuradze, Diana Anfimiadi, Nikoloz Nakhutsrishvili, and Amin Nageliani.
Invited researchers will speak about: the importance of language and dialect; the linguistic portrait of Georgia; the linguistic image of Fereydan Georgians, and more.
At the end of the event, Georgians from Fereydan will perform a musical piece;
Students will present dialectic texts and expressions in the form of an interesting performance;
Anyone interested in the aforementioned topics can participate in the discussion.
The event is part of the project "I love Georgian - my state language!", the author of which is the professor of Caucasus University - Mariam Manjgaladze. The project was successfully implemented in Vilnius University, Lithuania, on April 14, 2016, and since then, it has been held every year at Caucasus University in various interesting formats.
