Public Lecture – Financial Statement Analysis

As part of the Public Lecture Series organized by Caucasus School of Economics, a public lecture - “Financial Statement Analysis” will be held on March 9 at 19:00 in the Conference Hall of Caucasus University.

 

The lecture will be delivered by Nano Samkharashvili, Certified Trainer of the Training of Trainers Program of Service for Accounting Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS) and the IFRS Foundation, and Co-Founder of Lino Academy.

 

The session will address the following key topics:

 

  • The core components of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement);
  • Interpreting a company’s financial “narrative” through quantitative data;
  • The structure of financial statements and critical performance indicators;
  • Horizontal and vertical analysis techniques;
  • Financial ratios, including liquidity, profitability, efficiency, and financial sustainability metrics;
  • Practical case studies and analysis of real-world financial data.

 

The primary objective of the lecture is to equip students with the analytical competence required to independently assess financial statements and formulate well-substantiated conclusions regarding a company’s financial position and performance.
