Within the framework of the Jean Monnet project „Integrating EU Models of Media Literacy Education into Georgian Academic Sphere“ (EUMLGE), a series of meetings with school teachers was held from May to July 2026.
The meetings took place at the private schools „Progress“ and „Kandidi“ in Tbilisi, the public schools of Sanavardo and Kuchatani villages in Kvareli Municipality, as well as at Caucasus University, bringing together nearly 20 school teachers from Tbilisi and various regions of Georgia.
During the meetings, the project author, Dr. George Jologua, Associate Professor at Caucasus University, introduced participants to European approaches and best practices for integrating media literacy competencies into school education.
The meetings conducted throughout the project aimed to raise awareness among Georgian school teachers about the importance of integrating media literacy into the school curriculum, as well as to enhance their understanding of its principles and European practices.
