The project "Gastronomical Bootcamp" has started

2 November 2022

On November 1, the participants of the second stream of the "Gastronomical Bootcamp” project began receiving instruction from the four top chefs chosen in the first stream.

Caucasus University organizes the aforementioned trainings in collaboration with the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program. It is carried out in collaboration with the Basque Culinary Center and the Gastronomic Tourism Business Association. The trainings are hosted by the Pastry School "Tamtini".

Training is divided into two categories: gastronomic trends and avant-garde techniques; creativity and plating. The first training focused on gastronomic trends and avant-garde techniques, and participants learned about global gastronomic trends, as well as avant-garde cooking techniques, using "new ingredients" and creating creative dishes.

Chefs Soso Jabanashvili and Irakli Todadze lead the trainings.

It should be noted that the Caucasus University has a strategic mutual cooperation with the Basque Culinary Center, under which the Caucasus Academy of Gastronomy will be established in Kakheti, specifically in Gurjaani, in 2024.
