European University Association (EUA) General Assembly

Gdansk University of Technology (Poland) hosted the European University Association General Assembly and Annual Conference on April 20-21.

 

The Vice President for Internationalisation, Irena Melua, the Director of the Strategic Development and International Accreditation Department, Irma Dzhelidze, and the Director of the International Relations Department, Ketevan Karbaia, represented Caucasus University at the event.

 

Within the framework of the conference, a panel discussion was held on such important issues as digital transformation, international ratings, opportunities for cooperation and others.

 

It should be noted that the General Assembly endorsed the election of Josep M. Garrell Guiu as the new president of the European University Association during the session, and the composition of the Governing Council was renewed.

 

The European University Association is the largest university association, which unites more than 800 universities and the National Rectors' Conference consisting of representatives of 48 European countries. The organization provides a study of European higher education policy and practice in terms of quality assurance, internationalization, governance and financing, and implements transnational and institutional development projects.
