The article “Crypto-Democracy: Code as the Architecture of Collective Will and the New Foundations of Governance,” authored by Irakli Shamatava, Doctor of Law and Affiliated Associate Professor at Caucasus University, has been published in the Italian international refereed journal Rivista Italiana di Conflittologia. The article was prepared in collaboration with Fabio Zambardino, Doctor of Comparative Law and Integration Processes.
It is noteworthy that in 2025 Irakli Shamatava was awarded a research scholarship from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli), Italy. Within the framework of this scholarship, he conducted research on the comparative legal regulation of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies, including tokens and Bitcoin. The published article presents the outcomes of this research.
