On 2 December, Dean of the Caucasus School of Governance, Professor Eka Akobia, hosted the Associate Professor Olga Oleinikova from the School of Communication (Department of Social and Political Sciences) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), who will spend a period of time as a visiting research fellow at the Caucasus School of Governance.
Olga Oleinikova is the Director of the Social Impact Technologies and Democracy Research Hub (SITADHub) at the School of Communication, University of Technology Sydney.
She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Sydney and is the author of numerous publications. In recognition of her contributions to research and social impact, she has been listed among Forbes’ Top 40 Global Ukrainians and Forbes 30 Under 30. She has also been a finalist for the Australian Council of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) Future Leader Award.
During the meeting, Professor Eka Akobia provided the guest with information about CSG’s academic programs and research agendas. In turn, Professor Oleinikova shared her professional experience and the research project she plans to work on during her visit. It was agreed that a number of professional meetings/workshops will be held during the visiting fellowship with CSG professors and students.
