On 18 November, the President of Caucasus University, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, and the Vice President for Internationalization, Irena Melua, held a bilateral meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Professor Chris Nhlapo, the DeputyVice Chancellor, Professor Marschall Sheldon, and other representatives of the university.
The main purpose of the meeting was to deepen cooperation and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, including modern technologies, business, tourism, digital education, academic mobility, as well as joint programmes and projects.
Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening long-term cooperation and deepening academic ties between Georgia and South Africa. It was also noted that the President of CPUT, Professor Chris Nhlapo, is planning to visit Caucasus University next summer together with an extended delegation.
