Caucasus University Green Tourism Hub Meets Alumni from the Tourism Industry

26 February 2026

On 20 February 2025, the Green Tourism Hub at Caucasus University organized a stakeholder meeting with university graduates currently working in different segments of the tourism industry.

The event was held within the framework of an ongoing meeting series with external stakeholders, aimed at sharing information about the Hub’s mission, services, and collaboration opportunities. The Green Tourism Hub operates under the Erasmus+ ENRICHER Hubs project, funded by the European Union, which supports the development of competencies in sustainable tourism and service design in Georgia and Moldova.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the Hub’s core areas of activity, including professional training, research and data analysis, advisory services, and academia–industry partnership initiatives. The discussion that followed focused on key challenges faced by tourism businesses, such as seasonality, skills shortages, digital transformation, regulatory adaptation, and market positioning. Graduates highlighted the need to strengthen the Hub’s visibility, expand practice-oriented training formats, and create networking and employment platforms linking students, alumni, and industry representatives.

The meeting underscored the importance of structured collaboration between higher education institutions and the tourism sector. By serving as a platform for knowledge transfer, innovation, and sustainable development, the Green Tourism Hub continues to strengthen its role in supporting the competitiveness and resilience of Georgia’s tourism ecosystem.
