CU INTERNATIONAL STAFF WEEK 2026 Spring

From June 1 to June 5, Caucasus University hosted its 5th International Staff Week Program. More than 40 academic and administrative staff members from 24 partner universities across 15 countries of Europe and Asia participated in the program. It has to be highlighted that during the current academic year, Caucasus University hosted the International Staff Week for the second time. 

 

The participants received detailed information about the university’s mission, internationalization policy, international relations, as well as the services and activities of various university departments.

 

Representatives of partner universities had the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions on the following topical issues:

 

  • “Georgia as a Tourism Destination: Diversity as a competitive advantage”,” – presented by Ms. Nato Robitashvili and Ms. Nino Tigishvili, Caucasus Tourism School;
  • “From Theory to Practice: Implementing Capacity Building Initiatives” – presented by Ms. Irena Melua, Vice-President for Internationalization at Caucasus University;
  • “Approach to Research at Caucasus University and Areas of Collaboration“” – presented by Mr. David Tsiklauri, Director of the Strategic Development Department and Research Facilitation Department;
  • Best practice of “Implementing the Double Degree Programs Based on Business School” – presented by Ms. Elene Jgarkava, Dean of the Caucasus School of Business;
  • “International Student Involvement in Campus Life: the Ambassador ‘Buddy’ Program"- workshop with the involvement of students - presented by Ms. Anastasia Gudadze, Manager of the Student and Organizational Events Office.

 

It is noteworthy that, within the framework of the International Week, lectures and masterclasses were delivered for professors from participating universities in cooperation with relevant faculties of Caucasus University, while meetings for administrative staff were organized with corresponding schools and departments.

 

Professors from partner Universities were hosted by the Caucasus School of Business, Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Caucasus School of Media and Caucasus School of Technology. Meetings for administrative staff participating in the program were organized with Ms. Diko Kopaleishvili, Dean of the Caucasus School of Tourism, and Mr. Tornike Purtzeladze, Undergraduate and Graduate Programs Administrative Director at Caucasus Tourism School as well as with Mr. David Natroshvili, Dean of the Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and representatives of the International Relations Department.

 

In addition, within the framework of the International Week Program, the Caucasus School of Architecture and Design organized an exhibition of graphic works presented by one of the participating lecturers, Mr.  Sefa Ersan Kaya from Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Turkiye.

 

It should also be noted that Caucasus University hosted an educational fair with the participation of partner universities as part of the International Week. University representatives had the opportunity to introduce Georgian and international students to their higher education institutions, academic programs, as well as their countries and cultures.

 

At the conclusion of the International Week Program, participating professors and administrative staff were awarded certificates of participation.
