Being a Charity is a Great Gift

24 December 2017

On December 24, the second year students of the Caucasus School of Governance held a presentation of the project: "Being a charity is a great gift", within the framework of which Mariam Kapanadze, Liza Karashvili, Nikoloz Nozadze and Giorgi Zhorzholiani will assist the beneficiaries of “The Monk Andria’s Foundation” – children with cancer.

The students spoke to the invited guests about the reasons, goals and objectives of starting the project; in addition, they discussed challenges facing the Foundation and the ways they have been assisting it.

A new activity – “12 Steps” has been planned and developed within the project, which means with support of 12 companies the Foundation’s beneficiaries will be provided with special products during one year.

The students have been able to find a company which will provide substantial funds for the Foundation.

“IZDF” – an American organization for implementing ideas, is to start operation in Georgia under Qetevan Gedjadze. The project team members have already applied to the organization, which means a working process taking up to 6 to 12 months is to start to allocate funds which will bring the foundation $30, 000.

On December 24, handmade items of the members of the Foundation were displayed and sold at the Fair; the generated sum of money shall be transferred into the Foundation’s account.

The team intends to pursue its activities under the slogan – “Being a Charity is a Great Gift” and is planning activities of various kinds in 2018.
