Public Defense of the Doctoral Dissertation by Tamar Bliadze, PhD Candidate of the English-Taught Doctoral Program in Economics

On July 8, Caucasus University hosted the public defense of the doctoral dissertation of Tamar Bliadze, a PhD candidate of the English-taught Doctoral Program in Economics at the School of Economics.

 

The dissertation, titled "Price Elasticity and Demand Response in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Sector: An Empirical Study of Pricing Strategies and Consumer Behaviour (Case of Georgia)," was supervised by David Keshelava, Assistant Professor and Doctor of Economics.

 

The dissertation was defended before the Dissertation Committee, composed of:

 

  • Vano Benidze – Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
  • David Keshelava – Assistant Professor, International School of Economics (ISET), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University;
  • Akaki Tsomaia – Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
  • Grigol Modebadze – Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University;
  • Azer Dilanchiev – Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University.

 

During the defense, the PhD candidate presented the main findings of her dissertation and answered questions from the Dissertation Committee. Following the presentation, the official reviewer, Professor Grigol Modebadze of Caucasus University, delivered his evaluation of the dissertation.

 

Based on the assessment of the Dissertation Committee, Tamar Bliadze successfully defended her dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics.
