On December 18, Caucasus University held the public defense of the doctoral dissertation of Tamar Kvantaliani, a PhD candidate in the English-language Doctoral Program in Economics at the School of Economics. Her dissertation - “Public Debt Sustainability Analysis in Georgia,” was completed under the supervision of Professor Erekle Pirveli, Doctor of Economic Sciences.
The defense took place before the Dissertation Committee, comprising:
- Vano Benidze, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University
- Erekle Pirveli, Professor, School of Business, Caucasus University
- Akaki Tsomaia, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University
- Grigol Modebadze, Professor, School of Economics, Caucasus University
- Lasha Kelikhashvili, Professor, University of Georgia
During the public defense, the doctoral candidate presented the objectives, methodology, and key findings of her research and provided comprehensive responses to questions from committee members. The dissertation was subsequently reviewed and evaluated by Professor Akaki Tsomaia of Caucasus University.
Following deliberation, the Dissertation Committee concluded that Tamar Kvantaliani successfully met all academic requirements, and she was awarded the Doctor of Economics (PhD) degree.
