Pre-acceleration Program Demo Day in Svaneti

As part of the Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) Svaneti Pre-Acceleration Program, a Demo Day was held in the Municipality of Mestia.

 

During the event, participants presented the innovative business ideas they had developed throughout the program to an evaluation jury. Six startup teams pitched their ideas, showcasing the progress they achieved over four weeks of intensive work with the support of experienced mentors. Throughout the program, participants refined their business concepts, developed sustainable business models, and designed market entry strategies.

 

The jury panel consisted of:

 

  • Salome Gardava – Project Manager, Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA)
  • Levan Merebashvili – Founder and CEO of SAIT, winner of GITA’s GEL 150,000 Grant Program
  • Elene Japaridze – Founder of Lango and winner of GITA’s Svaneti GEL 25,000 Grant Program

 

At the conclusion of the event, STEM GO was announced as the winning team.

 

As the winning team, STEM GO became a beneficiary of the Caucasus University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, gaining access to continued support for the further development of their startup. Depending on the team's needs, they will receive mentoring, consultations, and access to additional resources that will support the growth and successful implementation of their business idea.

 

In addition, Tetnuldi College awarded the winning team the opportunity to use its co-working space and expressed its commitment to supporting the team's future development by providing access to relevant resources and ongoing assistance whenever needed.

 

The Pre-Acceleration Program aims to foster innovation and technology entrepreneurship in Georgia's regions by empowering aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators through practical training, mentorship, and business development support. The program equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses and successfully integrate into Georgia's startup ecosystem.

 

The program is implemented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Caucasus University.
