Public Lecture - Discover, Explore, Act: The Importance of Research in Various Fields

On May 5, the School of Medicine organized a public lecture - “Discover, Explore, Act: The Importance of Research in Various Fields” at Caucasus University.

 

The lecture was led by Ani Lortkipanidze, a visiting lecturer at Caucasus University, National Representative of WAPOR from Georgia. Vice President of Gallup International Association. Research Director at Tri Media Intelligence;

 

The speakers of the public lecture were: Mzia Silagadze - Director of Tri Media Intelligence; Rati Shubladze - Doctor of Sociology. Head of the Sociology Program at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA); Erekle Antadze - Visiting Lecturer at the Free University. Senior Project Manager at GORBI; Nata Nakaidze - Researcher at the Eliava Phage Therapy Center. Visiting Lecturer in Genetics and Molecular Biology at Tbilisi State Medical University. Resident Physician at the Prof. Zhordania and Prof. Khomasuridze Institute of Reproductology, Reproductive Medicine Specialist.

 

The meeting discussed the importance of research in various fields — from medicine to marketing, from sociology to other disciplines.

 

Guests attending the event heard firsthand from professionals across various fields, who once again demonstrated how research influences not only the academic sphere but also our everyday lives. Students also had the opportunity to learn about the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) and its partnership with Caucasus University.
