On 24 February, a meeting was held at Caucasus University with lecturers who are actively engaged in the tourism industry.
The event took place within the series of external stakeholder meetings aimed at strengthening dialogue between academia and industry and presenting the activities and cooperation opportunities of the Green Tourism Hub. The initiatives are implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ ENRICHER Hubs project, funded by the European Union, which supports the development of competencies in green tourism and service design in Georgia and Moldova.
During the discussion, participants emphasized the importance of expanding green tourism and ecotourism-oriented activities for students, ensuring stronger connections with nature-based tourism and more field-based learning opportunities. Suggestions included organizing structured outdoor activities, exploring the possibility of marking ecotourism trails, and developing deeper research initiatives in this direction. The meeting provided valuable professional insights to further align green tourism initiatives with industry expectations.
