Student Research Conference of the School of Media

On May 25, the School of Media held its Student Research Conference, which was designed to help students develop their academic and research skills, support their professional growth, and encourage greater involvement in scholarly and research activities.

 

Students from different academic programs took part in the conference, presenting research on contemporary issues in media, communication, and public relations. Their work was distinguished by a wide range of topics, strong research focus, and practical relevance.

 

The winners of the conference were:

 

  1. First Place – Sonia Anastasia Hulst and Lizi Chikhladze - Bachelor’s Program in PR and Communication
    Topic: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Digital Marketing and Consumer Perception
  2. Second Place – Elene Abramia and Tinatin Nozadze - Bachelor’s Program in Journalism and Mass Communication
    Topic: The Impact of Regulations on Online Media Operations
  3. Third Place – Ana Kimeridze and Tekle Durglishvili - Bachelor’s Program in Journalism and Mass Communication, Topic: Manipulation in the Digital Age: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Spread of Disinformation

 

We extend our thanks to Barbare Gabunia and Nata Makharashvili, students of the Bachelor’s Program in Journalism and Mass Communication, for taking part in the conference with their presentation, “The Influence of Social Media on Georgian Society and Strategies for Addressing It.”

 

The conference once again highlighted the School of Media’s commitment to high academic standards and demonstrated students’ growing interest in critically examining today’s media landscape.
