The Caucasus Cybersecurity Center is a regional hub for cybersecurity, bringing together academic excellence, international expertise, and cutting-edge technologies.
Mission
Our mission is to strengthen cyber resilience in Georgia and promote the adoption of international standards. We create an environment where research meets practice, supporting the development of future cybersecurity professionals and researchers while contributing to the protection of the country’s digital ecosystem.
Strategic Priorities of the Cybersecurity Center
Global partnerships and exclusive access
One of the Center’s core priorities is the expansion of international collaboration. We serve as the exclusive regional representative of BIT SENTINEL, one of Europe’s largest cybersecurity organizations, which provides us with unique access to the CyberEdu educational platform. This platform hosts DefCamp, one of the largest cybersecurity hackathons in Europe.
Technological and research leadership
We are committed to advancing innovative scientific and educational activities in Georgia. A major example of this is the establishment of the country’s first quantum laboratory at the Center. We are also actively involved in major international grant projects, including NATO SPS, Erasmus+, Horizon, ICANN, and the programs of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, ensuring the quality, relevance, and sustainability of our research initiatives.
Accredited education and professional certification
The Center is positioned as a leading educational hub and serves as an official representative of Microsoft Academy, Cisco Networking Academy, Fortinet, and CyberEdu. Our strategic goal is to design and deliver modern cybersecurity courses, professional training programs, and certification-oriented learning opportunities.
Development of practical skills
The Center places strong emphasis on practice-based learning. In collaboration with the CyberEdu team, we develop specialized penetration testing courses and organize regional hackathons that help identify talented young people and support their professional development.
Strengthening national cyber resilience
A key objective of the Center is to share international best practices and standards with the local sector. The Center actively contributes to the development of cybersecurity policy, the shaping of local regulations, and the enhancement of the legislative framework in this field.
Consultancy and intellectual support
The Center also serves as a consulting platform in cybersecurity. We place particular emphasis on the intellectual support, mentoring, and coordination of student projects.
Center activities
The Center regularly hosts cybersecurity hackathons, where winners are recognized across various categories. It also organizes regional and international conferences, offering Georgian students the opportunity to present their research to international experts and receive professional feedback and recommendations. A notable initiative is the Cyber League, designed specifically for school students to support the development of their technical skills and early interest in technology and cybersecurity.
