Institute of Health Policy
The Institute of Health Policy was established in 2024.
The Institute’s mission is to generate innovative knowledge in the field of health policy and support its practical implementation. Our work is focused on transforming academic achievements into development programs, strategic projects, and high-impact scientific publications.
The Institute aims to promote the sustainable development of the healthcare sector and the adoption of evidence-based practice through sector-specific research and analytical work.
Strategic Priorities
- Identification – defining current and priority challenges in the healthcare sector.
- Analysis – conducting comprehensive, systematic, and in-depth research on sectoral issues.
- Advocacy – developing scientifically grounded and well-argued recommendations for decision-makers.
Research conducted by the Institute’s members has been published in leading Scopus Q1 journals, including:
European Journal of Social Security (Sage, Scopus Q1), The Journal of Headache and Pain (Springer, Scopus Q1),

On behalf of the University, grants from the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation were secured in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
The Institute’s members were also named Scientists of the Year by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation in 2018.
