17 October 2025

On October 16, Professor Guranda Tchelidze, representing the Jean Monnet Chair “European Union for Peace, Prosperity, and Security” (EU-PPS), implemented at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Caucasus University, took part in the national scientific-practical conference “Modern Paradigms of Education and Dissemination of International Projects,” organized by Sokhumi State University.

Her participation was part of the celebration of Erasmus Days 2025 in the frame of JM Chair and underscored the contribution of the Jean Monnet Chair EU-PPS to the dissemination of European values and academic collaboration in Georgia.

Professor Tchelidze delivered a presentation entitled “Embedding European Values in University Curricula: The Role of Jean Monnet Projects,” in which she discussed the integration of EU values into Georgian higher education through Jean Monnet initiatives. The presentation emphasized the role of such projects in enhancing the quality of education, strengthening academic cooperation, encouraging international engagement, and raising public awareness of core European principles—democracy, peace, human rights, and sustainable development. These efforts support Georgia’s ongoing alignment with European standards and values.
