What does the "1+1" model mean?

The Master's program is implemented through two independent, sequential stages — the "1+1" model:

• Part 1 - a 1-year (60 ECTS) Master's stage, upon completion of which the student receives an independent Master's qualification and may either enter employment or discontinue studies;
• Part 2 - an additional, 1-year (60 ECTS) research stage, admission to which is carried out through a separate admission procedure, and upon completion of which a Research Master's degree is awarded.

The Master's Program in Occupational Safety Management is implemented in accordance with the "1+1" model and consists of two parts:

Part 1 - Expected Qualification: Master in Occupational Safety (60 ECTS)

The standard duration of study is one year, and the permissible duration is two years.

• Mandatory learning courses - 42 ECTS credits;
• Optional learning courses - 12 ECTS credits;
• Free credits - 6 ECTS credits.

Part 2 - Expected Qualification: Research Master in Occupational Safety (60 ECTS)

The standard duration of study is one year, and the permissible duration is two years. Admission is possible only after completion of Part 1 or of another Master's program in the ICT field.

• Master's Thesis - 30 ECTS credits;
• Optional learning courses - 18 ECTS credits;
• Mandatory learning course of the university - 6 ECTS credits;
• Free credits - 6 ECTS credits.
