11 January

The project submitted by Erekle Pirveli, a full professor at Caucasus School of Business, won the 2021 State Science Grants Competition for Fundamental Research of the Rustaveli Foundation.

The title of the project is: "Reporting on Corporate Diversity in Developing Georgia. A Text Analysis Approach in the Conditions of Covid-19".

Introducing the practice of corporate reporting diversity is one of the most important tools for achieving a more balanced and equitable world. This research project, focusing on non-financial reporting of Georgian companies and studying post-pandemic manifestations, is the first empirical analysis of corporate diversity reporting practices in the Georgian context. Using a text analysis approach and artificial intelligence techniques, the project builds a corporate diversity reporting index, and the statistical model used, by controlling the quality of quantitative and textual parts of financial reporting and institutional level at country level, allows us to determine the impact of corporate diversity reporting.

Project budget: 175 800 GEL

Duration: 3 years

Project evaluation: 47 points (out of 50)

The research team, led by Professor Erekle Pirveli, is staffed with both Georgian and foreign (Swediush and German) scientists.

It is noteworthy that Erekle Pirveli was named the best young scientist of 2021.
