On April 26 at 14:00, the Lithuanian Writers’ Union will host a special Calligraphy Masterclass for students of the Vilnius Sunday School.
As part of the event, Professor Mariam Manjgaladze will speak about the history of the Georgian script and the contemporary challenges it faces. Students will also be introduced to the enchanting world of Georgian calligraphy by Nestan Bagauri, Director of the Georgian Calligraphers’ Association, and calligrapher Ana Gokadze.
The masterclass is organized within the framework of the project I Love Georgian – My State Language!, authored by Professor Mariam Manjgaladze. The project is jointly organized by Caucasus University and Vilnius University and will take place in Lithuania from April 25 to 28, 2026, at Vilnius University and the Lithuanian Writers’ Union.
