Caucasus University and Legis Academy invite applicants interested in the field of law to participate in a mock criminal trial project as part of the Spring 2026 season.
This initiative offers a unique opportunity to turn theoretical knowledge into practical experience and take part in a simulated criminal trial based on a high-profile case.
Throughout the project, participants will:
- become familiar with the structure of criminal proceedings;
• assume the roles of prosecutor, defense lawyer, witness, and juror;
• work on the materials of a high-profile criminal case — the Giorgi Shakarashvili murder case;
• explore the specific features of authentic investigative records;
• with the guidance of mentors, learn how to develop a legal strategy, prepare witnesses effectively, and strengthen their practical skills in a focused and meaningful way.
Project schedule:
First week – 26 April
Lecture: “The Course of Criminal Proceedings,” including role allocation and an introduction to the instructions.
Second week – 3 May
Mock criminal trial.
Please note that the number of places is limited.
Both meetings, on 26 April and 3 May, will be held at 11:00 in the Caucasus University courtroom, Auditorium C23.
