CSG Jean Monnet Module Conference: European Values and Ideologies

On June 12, at 11:00, Caucasus University will host the conference “European Values and Ideologies” in its conference hall as part of the School of Governance’s Jean Monnet teaching module.

 

The event will bring together leading experts in healthcare and social policy, education, and urban planning to discuss European standards and practices, and the values that underpin them.  

 

  • Tengiz Verulava, Professor at the Schools of Medicine and Business of Caucasus University and Director of the Health Policy Institute, will deliver a presentation on European healthcare and social protection systems;
  • Simon Janashia, education researcher and PhD graduate of Columbia University, will speak about European education systems;
  • Elene Khundadze, urban planner and urban transport specialist, and holder of a Master’s degree in Urban Development Planning from University College London, will discuss European urban planning practices and values.

 

Each presentation will be followed by a discussion on the value-based and ideological principles that underpin European healthcare, social protection, education, and urban planning systems, and on what can be learned from this experience.

 

The discussion will be moderated by Giorgi Tskhadaia, Professor at the School of Governance of Caucasus University.
