Designed as a journey through time and space—from a historic seminary to a contemporary educational center-the tour offers a unique opportunity to experience how art lives and evolves at Caucasus University. Here, the past and the present intersect, creating an academic environment where research and creativity coexist and inspire one another.
Key Tour Highlights
The History of the University (Main Building)
The tour will begin at the historic entrance of the former seminary building. Participants will learn how a center of religious education was transformed into a modern, multidisciplinary university, where art education occupies a vital place. This space reflects centuries of cultural continuity, now reimagined within a contemporary academic framework.
Reading Rooms and Classrooms
Participants will visit lecture halls and classrooms, gaining insight into the learning environments in which Art History students study and engage in academic discourse.
Exploration of the Art Collection
One of Caucasus University’s distinctive assets is its publicly accessible collection of artworks, which serves as an essential educational resource. Academic Infrastructure
The tour will introduce participants to the university’s library, research centers, and digital laboratories, highlighting the resources and facilities available to students throughout their studies.
Creative Spaces
This segment focuses on creative practice and professional development, including the organization of exhibitions—both physical and online—collaborative projects, and the ways in which students develop into independent professionals capable of confidently positioning themselves within the 21st-century cultural landscape.
Social Spaces
The tour will conclude with a visit to the university’s shared social areas—the café, courtyard, and informal gathering spaces where students exchange ideas, discuss future plans, and support one another’s creative and academic journeys.
