The goal of the training was to support academic staff in transforming teaching practices for digital learning environments. Participants explored the distinction between traditional classroom methods and digital pedagogical approaches and examined how digital tools and learning design principles can be used to support knowledge development, skill acquisition, and learner engagement online.

Throughout the training, attendees developed competencies to design interactive online learning experiences, implement participatory techniques, adapt instructional strategies for different levels of study, and promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness in digital education. The programme emphasized reflective practice, peer collaboration, and the continuous improvement of teaching methods in virtual settings.

As part of the training agenda, Caucasus University representatives delivered a presentation titled “Building Community Online: Participatory Techniques That Work”, focusing on practical approaches to fostering engagement and collaboration among online learners and demonstrated Digital Pedagogy Principles through the presentation of online lectures, showcasing how theoretical concepts can be effectively integrated with digital instructional delivery.

Participation in this training contributes to strengthening pedagogical innovation at Caucasus University and supports broader efforts under the PRODIGE project to enhance the quality, relevance, and inclusiveness of digital higher education in Georgia.
