Grant program by the Austrian government – ERNST MACH

The ministry of science and research of Austria is announcing ERNST MACH exchange grant contest to the FH JOANNEUM University of Applied Sciences, Austria for the bachelor’s and master’s degree students of Business Schools.

 

Transferring will be possible from fall 2019 to spring 2020 semesters.

 

The contest is split into two stages:

 

  • On the first stage, Caucasus University picks out 6 students and nominates them for the University of Applied Sciences before February 10. The chosen candidates receive acceptance letters from The University of Applied Sciences after which they will take part in the contest.
  • The second stage entails candidates sending their contest request/applications to the ERNST MACH grant program before March 1 2019.

 

In order to choose the candidates for the ERNST MACH exchange grant contest and nominate them for the University of Applied Sciences, Caucasus University holds a contest. In order to take part in the contest, active students of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees will have to present the following documents in the English language:

 

  • A copy of their ID/passport
  • Filled application form (see  link 1)
  • EUROPASS CV (see link 2) (see link 3)
  • Proof of English knowledge on the level of B2 minimum (IELTS – 6.0\TOEFEL – 78)
  • Grades transcript

 

Cover letter (the letter must answer these questions: Why do you want to study in Austria? Why have you chosen this university of applied sciences? What exactly do you want to do during your study period in Austria? Which courses do you intend to attend? Are your planned studies related to your planned future career? Prior studying history (duration and grades)

 

2 reference letters (the referee should be a lecturer/Dean/program director). The Letter of Reference should include the name and surname of the student as well as their academic description; it must be presented with the referee’s signature, the date and the university’s seal.

 

Those who can’t take part in the contest are:

 

  • First and fourth year students of the Bachelor’s degree programs;
  • Students of the second year second semester of the Master’s degree programs;
  • Application won’t be reviewed if
  • The applicant doesn’t fit in the criteria created by the department of foreign affairs of Caucasus University as well as the frames of the contract.
  • The application is incomplete or doesn’t fit within the required guidelines;
  • The applications that are submitted late; are not completed or are presented with intervals in time
  • Candidates can send their applications electronically before February 8, 2019 to this email address: ir@cu.edu.ge
  • The subject of the email should be the name of the grant (ERNST MACH), the documents should be named properly.

 

Choosing procedure:

 

  • The documents presented by the applicants will be reviewed by Caucasus University’s contest committee.
  • The committee will choose the candidates.
  • The information/documents about the candidates will be submitted to the host university;
  • The students will be chosen by the host university and in due course be sent an acceptance letter.

 

During the second stage, that entails sending applications to ERNST MACH contest, the candidates will be contacted by the foreign relations department.
