On May 22, Caucasus University hosted the Campus Founder Discovery & Ideathon Sprint, organized in collaboration with global venture accelerator 2080 Ventures. During the ideathon, participants worked on developing startup ideas with the support of local and international mentors.
The ideathon was preceded by a series of online sessions designed to introduce participants to the startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and the early stages of building a startup. Throughout the sessions, students explored key topics such as problem identification, idea validation, MVP development, teamwork, and startup mindset.
The online sessions featured active involvement from Caucasus University representatives, angel investors and members from Axel, as well as international mentors from 2080 Ventures. This gave participants the opportunity to learn directly from professionals who work with startups and innovation on a global level every day.
At the end of the ideathon, the winning team was awarded a cash prize from 2080 Ventures.
In addition, all participants who successfully completed both stages of the CU Founder Sprint - the online sessions and the ideathon - received certificates recognizing their participation in the program.
One of the highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Caucasus University and 2080 Ventures. The partnership lays the foundation for long-term collaboration aimed at providing Caucasus University students with greater access to international mentors, startup programs, and global innovation networks.
This collaboration marks an important step toward strengthening the university’s startup ecosystem internationally and creating new opportunities for future founders and innovators.
