On July 31, 2025, the opening event of the Startup Incubator was held across nine technoparks in Georgia, marking one of the most significant milestones of the project’s initial phase. The event was simultaneously livestreamed to all regional technoparks, ensuring both the nationwide scale of the initiative and equal access for all participating teams.

The event was officially opened by Giorgi Kezherashvili, Head of the Techparks Department, who highlighted the importance of the project and the necessity of fostering the innovation ecosystem in Georgia. In addition, the Project Manager, Irakli Svanidze, provided a detailed overview of the program’s structure, objectives, and expected outcomes, as well as its operational procedures and strategic directions.

Representatives of the startup ecosystem and industry experts — Ketevan Khuntsaria and Gegi Gvazava — delivered presentations on investment opportunities and the culture of pitching. They particularly emphasized the criteria used by investors when evaluating new initiatives and shared insights on how teams can effectively demonstrate the value of their startups.

Mentors, who will continue to work closely with participants throughout the program, conducted an introductory session where startups had the opportunity to present their interests and thematic areas. This session played a crucial role in helping teams define their work priorities and in establishing a solid foundation for effective future collaboration.

At the conclusion of the event, participants received detailed information about the upcoming stages of the program, including scheduled online lectures and mentoring sessions. These activities will be conducted regularly to help teams deepen their knowledge, refine their business models, and advance their ideas.

The Startup Incubator at the technoparks aims to strengthen the innovation environment across Georgia’s regions, support young people and early-stage entrepreneurs in their startup journey, promote the exchange of international experience, and foster their integration into the processes of business creation and growth.
