Givi Amiranashvili is an affiliate, associate professor at the Caucasus University School of Governance. Since 2003, he has been engaged in the capacity of a lecturer at a number of universities in Georgia. Since 2010, he has been teaching at the Caucasus University School of Governance. He has previously delivered a series of public lectures at Lazarski University (2017) and Klaipeda International University (2018). From 2009 to 2011, Givi Amiranashvili was a visiting scholar at New York University.
Givi Amiranashvili holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Liège in Belgium, awarded in 2023.
Givi Amiranashvili has many years of experience working in the public sector. He has worked at various times as head of the EU CBRN CoE Regional Secretariat for South East and Eastern Europe (2013-2018), in the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration (2006-2012), Head of the Legal department of the Bureau for Information on Assets and Finances of Public Officials (2001-2003), in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia (1999-2001), in the Central Election Commission of Georgia (1998), and in the Ministry of State Property Management (1995).
In 2002 and 2003, he received small research grants from the Transnational Crime and Corruption Center (TRACCC) of American University, Washington.
