Nino Imedashvili is an Associate Professor at Caucasus University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Political Science from Ilia State University. She holds a Master of Arts degree in American Studies and a Bachelor of Philology degree in English Studies from Iv. Javakhishvili State University. She completed a specialized 1-year certificate course in International Relations and National Security at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies and a course on American Foreign Policy in the 21st Century at Duke University.
Nino Imedashvili has received an Academic Swiss Caucasus Network (ASCN) research grant on EU and Russian foreign policy research. Nino Imedashvili has led USAID-funded public policy research and evaluation projects on the Georgian government’s communication strategy with the EU. In 2005-2014, she worked at the Ministry of Refugees and Accomodation and the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia.
Her academic research interests include the European Union and Russia's geopolitical policy in the post-Soviet space, NATO-Russia geostrategic rivalry, and Georgian foreign policy.
