Round Table – Silicon Valley Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity

On November 1, 2018, co-sponsored by New Westminster College of Caucasus University the Executive Roundtable in Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity was held in Palo Alto, California. The event was organized by Mr. Skip Sanzeri, a valued member of the NWC/CU team and a leader in advancing these important fields of research.

 

Building upon this success, the next event in early 2019 will focus on medical ethics coordinated by NWC/CU distinguished Fellow Dr. Ines Gockel in collaboration with the University of Leipzig, Germany. 

 

The Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity panel was moderated by Skip Sanzeri with Vern Brownell, CEO of D-Wave, Witold Kowalczyk, CEO of Bohr Technology, Ryan Karle Product Head at Rigetti Computing and Ben Bloom CEO of Atom Computing. The event was attended by over 100 enterprise leaders and startup executives to cover hard hitting topics around quantum computing and cybersecurity risks. The consensus was that enterprises need to start planning for quantum cybersecurity defenses as these computers are becoming more powerful and capable.

 

Top leadership from the industry were participants for the panel-event which discussed the security risks associated with quantum computers coming online.
