Armwrestling Championship for CU Students

On February 26, Caucasus University hosted an armwrestling championship for CU students in the conference hall.

 

Prior to the start of the championship, Kakha Shengelia, the president of Caucasus University, addressed the participants and fans with a speech. Additionally, Vazha Samadbegishvili, the president of the Tbilisi and Georgian Armwrestling Federation, along with Malkhaz Khvedelidze, the world champion and coach of the national team, conducted a master class for the participants.

 

The competition featured three weight categories (60 kg, 70 kg, 80+ kg) for both the left and right hand.

 

In the 60 kg left hand weight category, Nika Ninuashvili, a student of the School of Technology, secured first place. Giorgi Bekauri, a student of the School of Economics, secured the second place, while Aleksandre Khvichia, a student of the School of Business, came in third.

 

In the 60 kg right hand weight category Giorgi Bekauri, a student of the School of Economics, secured first place, Nika Ninuashvili, a student of the School of Technology, secured the second place, and Aleksandre Khvichia, a student of the School of Business, came in third.

 

In the 70 kg left hand weight category, Sulkhan-Saba Jachvadze, a student of the School of Technology, secured first place, Davit Sutidze, a student of the School of Technology, secured the second place, and Akaki Manjavidze, a student of the Law School, came in third.

 

In the 70 kg right hand weight category Sulkhan-Saba Jachvadze, a student of the School of Technology, secured first place, Vakhtang Talakhadze, a student of the Caucasus School of Business, secured the second place, and Anri Kvezereli, a student of the School of Technology, came in third.

 

In the 80+ kg left hand weight category Ilia Shoshiashvili, a student of the School of Business, secured first place, Irakli Chkhitunidze, a student of the technology school, secured the second place, and Giorgi Gorgisheli, a student of the School of Business, came in third.

 

In the 80+ kg right hand weight category Ilia Shoshiashvili, a student of the School of Business, secured first place, Irakli Chkhitunidze, a student of the Technology School, secured the second place, and Giorgi Gorgisheli, a student of the School of Business, came in third.

 

Certificates, medals, and CU gifts were awarded to the prize winners, and the participants in first place had the honor of hoisting the championship trophy.

 

The President of Caucasus University presented CU branded gifts to the representatives of the Armwrestling Federation.
