Health Care Policy-Manual

In recent years, the significance of health care policy as an academic discipline has notably escalated, particularly amidst the ongoing overhaul of healthcare systems. The administrative entities overseeing these systems have encountered numerous challenges. As reforms unfold, many questions are asked, which are important for health workers, system managers, those who study health policy.

 

Through the textbook, the students and the interested public will have a systematic idea of such topical issues as: health policy goals and objectives; Access to health care financing, social insurance system, Beveridge general tax financing system, medical savings deposit financing system; human resources in the health sector; Quality of medical services, challenges of the Georgian healthcare system. Certainly, addressing the challenges confronting the country's healthcare system is contingent upon having well-educated personnel, highlighting the pressing need for comprehensive training. One of the reasons for this is the obvious lack of necessary teaching and methodical literature in the Georgian language. The main goal of the presented guide is to facilitate the solution of this problem.

 

The head of the project is Tengiz Verulava, the research is financed within the framework of the internal university funding competition of Caucasus University.
