On March 15, at 10:00, a seminar will be held at Caucasus University (auditorium C3) on the topic: "Georgia and HPC - High-performance computing system in the science and industry of the next generation".
The topic of the seminar:
- An overview of traditional and modern high-performance computing (HPC) systems
- HPC applications in academia and industry
- Definition of HPC and fourth and fifth generation industries
- HPC - as a strategic industry
- Opportunities of the Caucasus region in the direction of HPC
- The capabilities of the university in terms of training qualified personnel in the direction of HPC
- The university's HPC research center capabilities for various industries.
The seminar will be conducted by Ehsan Mousavi, a member of the Computer Engineering Department of Shahed University and the Faculty of General Applied Mathematics and Computer Science of ASOIU.
His research interest is in the design and development of distributed computing systems. He is also a consultant for master plan development in industrial areas that need high performance computing systems.
Ehsan Mousavi is also: a member of the editorial board of Azerbaijan Journal of High-Performance Computing System; Member of the Executive Board of the International Advanced Research Workshop on HPC, Cetraro, Italy; Member of the Executive Board of HPC Advance Research Center of ADNSU, Baku, Azerbaijan; Member of the Executive Board of IUST - HPC Research Center, Tehran, Iran.
