Every developed country aspires to care for the health of its citizens. The challenge lies in determining how much of the national income can be allocated to healthcare and how to efficiently distribute it in the conditions of limited resources.

The importance of health policy as a discipline has increased, particularly in the recent period as during the restructuring of healthcare systems, the leadership encountered numerous challenges. It can be said that nowhere in the world are changes taking place in the healthcare system at such a rapid pace as in Georgia, where the reform process has been going on for more than three decades. In the course of the reforms, many questions have been raised that are important for health workers, system managers, and health policy researchers.

Obviously, it is impossible to solve the problems facing the healthcare system of the country without well-educated staff, whose thorough training is an acute problem. One of the reasons for this is the obvious lack of necessary teaching and methodical literature in the Georgian language. The main goal of the guide is to facilitate a solution for this problem.
