Lecture will be held აt the Library of the CU.
The lecture examines the main characteristics of the Soviet propagandistic language and the methods through which the Soviet regime sought to control mass consciousness, alter values, and shape the worldview of society. The language of Soviet propaganda, as a tool of political power, was a cornerstone of the totalitarian regime that divided the world into allies and enemies. It demonstrates how propaganda was used not only as a form of communication but also as a powerful instrument that distorted reality, instilled fear and obedience before authority, and reinforced the regime.
