Joint Special Issue of the Caucasus School of Law and the European Scientific Journal (ESJ)

17 July 2026

With the active involvement of the academic staff of the Caucasus University School of Law and PhD students of the doctoral program in Law, an important international scientific project was successfully implemented. Within the framework of this project, a special issue was prepared to mark the 16th anniversary of the Spanish scientific journal European Scientific Journal (ESJ), under the theme: “Evolution of the Legal Professions in the Post-Soviet Period.”

The European Scientific Journal (ESJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal founded in 2010 by the European Scientific Institute (ESI). The journal aims to create a unified academic platform for researchers from different countries, where it is possible to publish contemporary scientific works and disseminate knowledge at the international level. The editorial board of the journal includes academic staff and researchers from various countries, ensuring a diverse and global scientific perspective.

The invited editor of the special issue is Affiliated Professor Nino Kharitonashvili, Doctor of Law, Caucasus School of Law.

The issue features scholarly articles authored by the academic staff and doctoral students of the School of Law, reflecting the development of legal professions in the post-Soviet space. The articles cover various branches of law - including private, public, and criminal law - through comparative legal analysis, taking into account historical and geographical factors.

This special issue makes a significant contribution to the advancement of comparative legal studies, as well as to the forecasting of legal policy and the identification of trends in professional development.

The Caucasus School of Law continues its active collaboration with the European Scientific Journal and plans to implement further joint international scientific projects in the future.
