The 11th International Conference on Behavioral Addictions (ICBA 2026) was held in Istanbul, Turkey on August 24-26, organized by the International Association for the Study of Behavioral Addictions (President - Professor Zsolt Demetrovich of Flinders University, Australia).

A joint study conducted by the Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center and Caucasus University, titled “Performance-based financing as a quality governance reform in primary health care: workforce perspectives,” has been published in the A-level international peer-reviewed British journal International Journal of Health Governance.

A research article co-authored by Konstantine Chakhunashvili, Associate Professor at Caucasus University, has been published in the internationally recognized peer-reviewed journal Scientific Reports, part of the Nature Portfolio.

A research article by Professor Tengiz Verulava of Caucasus University, entitled “Timeliness of Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment: Assessment of Compliance with RAND Guideline–Defined Time Standards,” has been published in the international scientific journal Annals of Cancer Research and Therapy, Vol. 34, No. 1, 2026, pp. 36–43.

An article by Caucasus University Professor Tengiz Verulava, titled “Impact of Remote Patient Monitoring Systems on Hospitalization Reduction and Nursing Workflow Among Patients With Chronic Diseases in Georgia: A Mixed-Methods Study,” has been published in the international peer-reviewed American journal Home Health Care Management & Practice.

From July 13–15, Caucasus Medicine School hosted representatives from the Department of Nursing of Yezreel Valley College, Israel, for a three-day academic visit aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration in the field of contemporary medical and nursing education.

Caucasus School of Medicine, in cooperation with the Caucasus University Training Center, is conducting a series of methodological training seminars - Fundamentals of Modern Medical Education: Contemporary Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Methods-Benefits and Challenges. The series aims to strengthen the methodological competencies of the School’s academic staff.

Students of the Caucasus Medicine School participated in an educational visit to Mega Lab, where they gained insight into the work of the pathology department and modern laboratory processes.

A joint study by the Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center, the Center for Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology, and Caucasus University has been published in the internationally peer-reviewed journal Archives of the Balkan Medical Union.
